Communications Manager
The Fred Hollows Foundation NZ is a kiwi not-for-profit organisation dedicated to restoring sight and eliminating blindness in the Pacific, Papua New Guinea and Timor-Leste.
Hollows NZ is at an exciting point in its development as it has grown rapidly over the last two years and is poised for further growth. If you are an energetic self-starter with a tertiary qualification in journalism, public relations or related discipline we want to talk to you.
You have exceptional media skills, including reputation and issues management, which you have demonstrated over 5+ years of your communications management experience. Naturally, you have first class writing and presentation skills and are at ease communicating with a wide range of audiences through a variety of published and online media. You are able to create opportunities for innovative initiatives and work with our small team to deliver them.
Reporting directly to the Marketing and Fundraising Director, you will also have extensive contact with our overseas teams to support them with communications and advocacy initiatives.
Experience in a non profit organisation is preferred but not essential, although applicants will have a commitment to the mission and values of The Fred Hollows Foundation NZ.
The position is full time and will require you to work unsocial hours at times. You will need to travel to our overseas programmes. The Fred Hollows Foundation NZ is an equal opportunity employer.
