The Ministry for Culture and Heritage Te Manatū Taonga helps sustain New Zealand's distinctive and exciting culture. The Ministry supports the nation's iconic cultural institutions. 

These include Te Papa, NZ On Air, TVNZ, the NZSO, Te Matatini, the Royal New Zealand Ballet and the New Zealand Film Commission.  We provide advice to government on cultural matters, oversee investment in cultural agencies, and deliver quality cultural experiences to New Zealanders. 

Our work includes producing Te Ara - the New Zealand encyclopedia and NZHistory.net, managing key projects such as the digital switchover, and administering the National War Memorial and other significant heritage sites.

As a successful organisation we're restructuring to make sure we're effective leaders within the cultural sector; and to maintain our ability to provide Ministers with the best possible advice, and New Zealanders with excellent cultural experiences.

We're looking to appoint to the new and senior positions of:

• Cultural Policy Branch Manager

• Media Policy Branch Manager

• Heritage Services Branch Manager

These positions report to the Chief Executive and, along with the CE, the Corporate Branch Manager and the Pou Ārahi Whakahaere, form the Senior Management Team.  Each of the appointees will have a significant degree of responsibility for the success and standing of the Ministry. We're looking for individuals who have a proven record of success and the ability to work with credibility in the cultural sector.
