TheNewDowse is an innovative contemporary art museum that presents a diverse exhibition programme of nationally and internationally significant contemporary art and design.
This is an exciting opportunity to join an energetic and creative team in a stimulating organisation that is well established as one of New Zealand’s leading cultural hubs.
Primarily you will be an experienced curator with proven managerial skills to initiate, lead and deliver exhibition and public programming. You will also manage a small team of curatorial, educational and collections staff. Working closely with the Director and the rest of the leadership team, you will create a changing exhibition programme that is challenging and thought-provoking, yet accessible to a wider audience. Your experience of exhibition delivery will allow you to also work collaboratively with our gallery educators and hosts.
You will have established links with artists and dealers and the ability to initiate new partnerships. Your expertise and eye for detail will also ensure that all exhibitions and related interpretations are of the highest quality.

The Dowse Art Museum presents a diverse exhibition programme of local, national and international contemporary artists and designers.
