Communications Advisor
Maritime New Zealand is seeking a Communications Advisor to work in its Communications and Education team in Wellington. This team is responsible for providing expert advice and assistance to internal business units across the wide range of corporate communication and education functions.
You will have the opportunity to be involved in high profile social marketing campaigns, web and print production, internal communications, stakeholder engagement and event management. You will be a generalist who will provide support to a team of experienced specialists, allowing you to develop and enhance your communications skills.
You will provide advice and assistance to internal clients, so we expect you to have at least two years’ postgraduate experience in a corporate communications role, preferably within the State sector. Strong written communication skills are essential, as you will be writing and editing work for clients. A relevant tertiary qualification is essential but we are also seeking a willingness to turn your hand to anything. The communications team can be very busy, particularly during periods of media activity, so we are looking for a self starter with initiative and energy.
