Job description: 

Building on an existing history of success and innovation, this exciting new position within our organisation will collaboratively shape the artistic vision for the Theatre and develop a delivery strategy for a programme of theatre experiences aimed at creating a lifelong connection to the Arts for young audiences.

In addition to a strong background of management in the performing arts sector, the successful candidate will be able to manage multiple stakeholder groups and will have an awareness of arts in the education sector. With experience in balancing both artistic and operational outcomes they will have proven success in the commissioning, development and financing of new theatre works.

The National Theatre for Children is part of Capital E, a Wellington Museums Trust institution. Centrally situated between Civic Square and the Waterfront, this hub provides a development base for a comprehensive national touring and international presentation programme of new New Zealand Theatre production.
