Programme Coordinator
It involves responsibility for our amateur broadcasters, ensuring they maximise the potential of their time On Air, and reap the benefits.
The job encompasses a wide variety of tasks – from creative production, to providing training and support to volunteers and programme makers. Some on-air work is also required, along with community liaison duties. The Programme Co-ordinator is responsible directly to the Station Manager.
We’re looking for someone very special. We need someone preferably with radio experience, but more importantly, someone who is able to understand and embrace the philosophy and purpose of Community Access Radio and who would be happy working in a not-for-profit, non-commercial environment.
Ideally, applicants will have some familiarity with industry IT tools (Editors, Automation Software etc).
WE NEED
A self-motivated, quick learner who is outgoing and ready for a challenge. You’ll have a proven ability to manage your time effectively and be comfortable working with a broad cross-section of people from various community groups. And you’ll be at-ease working within a small, dedicated team.
YOU’LL BE
Someone who sets high personal standards and be able to demonstrate an energetic and enthusiastic approach to your work. You’ll have a history of efficiency, reliability and being able to work to deadlines.
Mostly, you will be positive, enthusiastic, willing to work hard, and have a definite ‘can-do’ approach to new situations.
