Job description:

Papakura Art Gallery has recently undertaken extensive building development.  The renovations include: greater cohesion between gallery spaces, all gallery walls re-lined, new ceilings, new entrance, polished matai and concrete floors and air conditioning.

The gallery has a vision of supporting its community by providing a balanced programme of exhibitions which will expose the community to outstanding arts and artists.

To achieve this we are now able to provide excellent environmental conditions and walls more sympathetic to the need of contemporary art.

We are currently developing a programme of exhibitions for 2011 and are seeking proposals from professional artists or curators.  We can accommodate all art forms.

We are also interested in hearing from artists and curators who do not have sufficient work to fill a gallery space so they can be considered for group shows or projects.
