Assistant Communications Advisor
Te Rünanga o Ngái Tahu is a dynamic and contemporary organisation that exists to support the tribal institutions of Ngái Tahu and to give effect to the aspirations of Ngái Tahu Whánui guided by our vision of ‘mó tátou, á, mó ká uri á muri ake nei’ (for us and our children after us).
Te Rünanga o Ngái Tahu currently seek to appoint an Assistant Communications Advisor on a permanent, full-time basis. This role will work collaboratively across Te Rünanga Group and its subsidiaries to design and proactively manage corporate communications with both internal and external stakeholders.
Reporting to the Group Communications Manager, this role covers a wide scope including: strategic communications and public affairs advice; stakeholder communications including crisis management as well as whánau and iwi communications. You will possess the ability to identify positive media and proactive communication opportunities.
To succeed in this role you will have excellent written and oral communication skills, public relations and/or communications management knowledge and be confident working with senior executives and providing advice across an organisation. A tertiary qualification in communications/journalism or public relations will be advantageous.
