RWC project facilitators

Fixed term until November 2011

Reporting to the programme manager, these roles see you assist in one of two specialised areas of major event delivery. Each project officer position has a unique area of focus:

Operations and logistics - plan for Auckland's operational and logistical response to RWC 2011, with specific responsibility around the coordination of cleaning and waste management services and programmes, graffiti response mechanisms and the preparation and presentation of our public open spaces. Work with the team to develop a comprehensive programme of testing activity in the lead up to the Tournament that will ensure that we can deliver a successful world-class event in 2011. Ref: 8161TBI

City presentation and transport - dress and theme the city with "wow" elements, ensure that clear signage and directions get our guests get around this vibrant city Ref: 8162TBI

Both positions require significant public event experience, along with understanding of the complexity of running a city during a major event. Knowledge of the Auckland event industry and the city is also useful. To be successful, you need to be well organised and detail focused, with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Financial knowledge will enable you to help develop and work within budgets. A can-do attitude and commitment to work hard on one event project until completion is essential.
