Event Delivery Manager (Fixed Term)
A unique opportunity exists for an experienced professional event manager to fill a fixed term position in the Business Services Group, within the Venues and Events Activity to cover parental leave.
The main tasks for this role include:
- Managing the event delivery of the Tauranga City Council operations on the Mount beach and Tauranga CBD for New Years Eve (including working in partnership with many external organisations)
- Operational organisation of other Council events (eg Anzac Day, Children’s Day)
- Assisting with Event Delivery for Flagship Events, (eg Arts Festival and Jazz Festival)
- Assisting with Tauranga City’s commitment to Rugby World Cup 2011
Due to the level and scale of the events to be managed this role requires someone with significant relevant experience in the events industry. Further information is available in the position description.
This role has flexible hours, which can be negotiated between TCC and the successful applicant. It is anticipated that these hours would average to approximately 80 hours per fortnight, but due to the fluctuations in workload around events, some fortnights will be more, and some less. A formal time in lieu system operates to ensure fairness to all parties.
