Our Trade Marketing team is looking for a switched on events professional to manage our exciting trade events and familiarisation activity in conjunction with our offshore offices.
 
The ideal person for this role will be able to demonstrate fantastic event and project management experience coupled with a relevant tertiary qualification. Knowledge and/or experience in tourism marketing would be a plus too. He/she will be driven, an excellent verbal and written communicator, great at presenting and know not only how to connect with people, but how to keep those people connected. The capability to negotiate, meet deadlines, and take responsibility for outcomes is also critical for this role. Finally, as this person will be managing a small, dedicated team, the ability to get things done through people and get on with them while doing so is important.
 
Reporting to the Trade Marketing Manager, responsibilities include coordination and facilitation of familiarisation activity and trade events including management of Tourism New Zealand’s involvement in TRENZ, the largest New Zealand tourism event for travel sellers globally. Ensuring robust feedback and evaluation processes are in place for trade events and familisarisations, and providing feedback to industry stakeholders are other key responsibilities.
