As part of the library’s senior team you will be expected to take part in the delivery of all services, including outreach with local schools and preschools. With the ability to relate to people of all ages and cultures, this is an exciting opportunity to further develop and promote children’s and teenage services in a busy community library. A team player spirit, excellent communication skills and great customer service attitude is what we’re looking for!
 
This role requires a library qualification to NZQA Level 6 or equivalent level teaching diploma and a willingness to study towards an Information and Library Studies Certificate.
 
As a Children’s and Teens Librarian you’ll be required to work every fourth weekend in a supervisory position as part of a rolling roster shared with other senior librarians.
