Events and Partnerships Co-ordinator
Are you a people person who just loves to organise and support others to run events? This is a very hands on and creative role - lots of energy a must!
The Northland Regional Council’s Community Relations team has a challenging position available for someone to join its vibrant, diverse team to lead and co-ordinate events across the organisation.
We need someone who can handle the pace: An events management specialist with a special interest in Council and community – from small seminars for target groups through to show displays that attract thousands – your ability to balance creative strategy with a hands-on approach is essential. You will also manage the Council’s relationship with some of our key partners and sponsors for events and awards.
The successful applicant will possess previous event coordination experience, excellent administration and organisational skills and an eye for detail. Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills are essential. You will need a flexible attitude and be able to work some evenings and weekends as events require. While event management will be the focus of your attention, you will also be required to retain an integrated, organisation wide perspective and get others involved in various community relations campaigns.
