Funding and Marketing Coordinator

The National Council of Women of New Zealand (NCWNZ) is one of the largest, highest profile not-for-profit organisations in the country. Founded by Kate Sheppard and the other suffragists, we have 114 years experience of driving change for women, children and families in New Zealand.

We are already known to the media; we deal with government at the highest level. Our membership is growing nationally. We want to take the next step up and it’s time to employ a specialist to make that happen.
A tertiary qualification in marketing and/or communications and a minimum of two years experience is strongly desirable.
Key responsibilities:
• prepare funding applications and outcome reports for specified projects and NCWNZ activities
• develop, coordinate and implement a marketing strategy for NCWNZ
• develop sponsorship opportunities for the work of NCWNZ
• communicate and administer special events, campaigns and projects
• provide desktop publishing of monthly newsletter and other profile building publications
• website maintenance

• Strong computer skills and generally technology savvy
• Excellent English language and communication skills
• Practical, hands-on events management experience
• A team player who is also able to work independently

• Able to prioritise tasks and work under pressure
• A creative-thinker, with a strongly logical approach.
Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work permit.
