Job description: 

We are looking for an experienced records management professional to join our Information Services Team within the Business Services Group. The Records Management Specialist will be responsible for providing a practical approach to effective records management across Tauranga City Council. 

You will be responsible for implementing a programme of record management improvements to achieve & maintain compliance with the PRA 2005. In addition you will champion improvements in systems, procedures, practices and policies in records and information management areas across Council. This position is expected to have a high visible presence and interaction with teams across the organisation. Strong communication and relationship skills are required. 

Experience in records or information management is essential, along with extensive knowledge of the Public Records Act 2005 and other associated legislation. A tertiary qualification relevant to records or information management is also required. User education skills would also be highly desirable.
