We're The Academy Cinema in Auckland and in October our management team reopens and starts operating the oldest cinema in New Zealand, The Devonport Picture Palace and Theatre, a short ferry ride from the Academy.
We're looking for an experienced cinema person who can handle technical and general 35mm projection work, DCI compliant DoReMi server technology, manage front of house customer service, get involved in staging live events, and be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of the use of modern network and social media marketing tools to reach and sell our services to the general public who buy tickets to movies and events as well as corporate clients who want to use our cinemas for private events. We know you're a special person, but we're looking for you, oh and you need to show strong potential for great coffee making skills as well, our customers expect the best.
The successful applicant will have had on the job training in the technologies we use in cinema and be conversant enough with modern computer technology to be able to quickly come to grips with our e-cinema servers and other unique projection and production tools. They will probably have worked in the cinema industry here or overseas reasonably consistently over the last 5 years.
