Are you passionate about communications and keeping your organisation informed and interested in what it and its people are doing?

Te Papa has established a new and exciting role to oversee, lead and implement a strategic approach to organisational communications and manage the delivery of internal communications.

Key responsibilities of the role will include developing and implementing the organisations corporate communications strategy and managing the delivery of corporate and internal communications programmes and initiatives.

To be successful in this senior role you will be an energetic and innovative individual with significant communication expertise, and experience in: 

  • development of internal communications and editorial policies
  • corporate communications strategy development and implementation
  • successfully working with senior managers, internal and external stakeholders
  • managing a range of publications including intranet and electronic channels 
  • providing communications support for organisation changes and initiatives
  • preparing a range of written communications material for senior staff
  • an appreciation of bicultural or bilingual communications
  • Maori tikanga and some familiarity with Maori language
