Communications Officer

We're looking for a Communications and Events Officer to join our small, dedicated team. The main objective of this role is to organise events for and deliver communications to The University of Auckland postgraduate community. You will lead the organisation of a variety of events (including Postgraduate Orientation) and assist on others (including postgraduate research expositions and info weeks).
Key responsibilities include the following:
- Writing the fortnightly Postgrad News email
- Writing the fortnightly Postgrad Adviser News email
- Maintaining current postgraduate publications
- Managing the creation of new publications
- Managing and updating the postgraduate section on the website
- Managing and updating the postgraduate section on the staff intranet
- Organising flagship postgraduate events
- Assisting with other postgraduate events
- Providing frontline customer service for students as needed
You'll need excellent communication and English language skills. Attention to detail, the ability to meet deadlines and multi-task are all key requirements for this role. Basic design skills would be advantageous. This is a varied and challenging role that has plenty of scope for the right person to make their mark.
This is a full-time, permanent role.
