As Social Media Editor for the Bank of New Zealand you'll be responsible for implementing our social media strategy. Your role will include engaging with BNZ customers and building online communities through your proactive and reactive communications.

This role sits in the External Affairs team, a passionate and dynamic bunch who appreciate hard work and a good sense of humour, you will work with us to ensure that there is consistency in all our external communications and that the bank complies with the relevant regulations.

You will be joining nearly 5000 talented individuals who enjoy working in our dynamic, fast-paced environment. It will be your responsibility to take the BNZ brand vision and apply it through various online tools and channels to achieve marketing, media, stakeholder, and communications objectives.

In addition, you will further develop BNZ's online presence and take responsibility for ensuring BNZ online communities are communicated with appropriately. You will already have experience of online practice and social media engagement through your personal network and the online communities you have developed for an organisation previously.

You will be technically accomplished, preferably with communications, business news and/or broadcasting experience. You will be able to work accurately at speed but with the creativity and passion that the social media channel requires.

In this role you will consult with key internal stakeholders, which will require excellent communication skills and a strong commercial acumen, experience within a corporate environment is desirable.

You will be able to adopt and demonstrate the BNZ banking disclosure practises, customer privacy protections and brand messaging.
