Communications Advisor - Web (part-time)
As Communications Advisor - Web you will be responsible for supporting strategic communications initiatives, writing web content, managing and monitoring several websites, utilising social media, and honing your media response skills.
You will be part of a small close-knit team working on strategic communications, and you will enjoy working in a fast-paced, all-hands-to-the-pump environment.
The Council provides a wide range of communications services to diverse audience groups. This is an excellent opportunity to gain the skills and relevant experience for a successful career in communications, building on your web and social media experience. It is an ideal communications role for someone with experience wanting the flexibility of a part-time position. Experience writing for and/or managing a website is essential.
- Excellent writing skills
- Understanding of web technology, (knowledge of Photoshop, Acrobat, and InDesign is useful)
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship skills
- Demonstrably well organised
- Experience in managing and monitoring a website effectively
- Understanding of and experience in using social media
- Professional attitude coupled with a sense of humour
Experience writing for and/or managing a website is essential.
