Director | Blue Oyster
The Blue Oyster exists to provide artists and audiences with a non-commercial and experimental contemporary art project space in Dunedin. We are currently seeking applications from dynamic individuals for the role of Director. The Director will develop an annual programme of exhibitions and related public programmes through proposals and researched curatorial projects and will manage all aspects of programme delivery and gallery operations.
We would like to hear from you if you have:
- Knowledge and passion for contemporary art, both from New Zealand and overseas
- An innovative approach to developing an exiting programme of exhibitions and off-site projects
- Knowledge of arts funding within New Zealand
- Good networking skills
- Professional written and spoken communication skills
- A relevant qualification
- Highly developed administrative, financial and computer skills
- The ability to work independently, as well as within a team
- A willingness to wield a hammer and go the extra mile
