Sponsorship Adviser
The New Zealand International Arts Festival (NZIAF) is a biennial multi-arts festival held in Wellington. It is New Zealand’s largest cultural event celebrating the very best arts entertainment from around the world and within New Zealand.
The Festival is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Sponsorship Adviser to manage all sponsorship activities for the New Zealand International Festival of the Arts Trust. As a member of the Marketing and Development team you will work in close consultation with the Marketing and Development Manager and the Executive Director.
Strong relationship management, communication, administration, research, negotiation, planning and budgeting skills will be required to successfully secure and manage the Festival’s sponsorship and patrons programme.
Responsibilities in this position cover:
- Researching new sponsorship and fundraising opportunities
- Preparing sponsorship proposal reports, contracts and correspondence
- Liaising with sponsors, patrons, funders, agencies, and foreign government embassies
- Organising sponsorship events and patrons functions
- Coordinating ticketing requirements for sponsors and patrons
- Coordinating marketing and communications requirements for sponsors and funding partners
- Advising and assisting with sponsors’ leveraging activities
- Contributing to planning, budgeting and reporting processes
Based in Wellington, this exciting position would suit someone who enjoys working in a high pressure environment, initially as part of a small team which will grow significantly during the Festival. Due to the nature of the Festival a flexible approach to working hours is essential.
High level capabilities for the role include sponsorship experience and knowledge, industry wide contacts as well as a positive team approach to meeting deadlines.
