The New Zealand Comedy was established to foster the growth of comedy as a performing art in New Zealand. Our key event, the NZ International Comedy Festival, has been a highlight on the entertainment calendar since it’s inception in 1993. Held simultaneously in Auckland and Wellington during May each year, the Festival then takes to the road with the Comedy Convoy, touring to regional cities across New Zealand. With comedy performances ranging from stand up, sketch, improv, theatre, children's and musical comedy we aim to provide something for everyone to laugh at.

This is a unique opportunity to be part of one of New Zealand's fastest growing and most exciting annual Festivals!

Working in our Auckland team, you will support our Festival Producer in the co-ordination of both the NZ International Comedy Festival and the NZ Comedy Trust initiatives.

Your attention to detail, effective time management and strong communication skills, alongside your passion for live performance will ensure success in this fast paced and fun role!

Previous experience in the arts or entertainment industries will be an advantage. And a love for laughter is essential!

This is a fixed term position running from 5 September 2011 to 29 June 2012.
