Adviser Organisations – Arts Sector
Do you want to be part of a creative and dynamic organisation and have the chance to make an impact on the development of the Arts in New Zealand? This role is responsible for delivering the management, monitoring and evaluation of Creative New Zealand’s investments in a portfolio of client organisations through our Arts Leadership Investment (Toi Tōtara Haemata) and the Arts Development Investment (Toi uru Kahikatea) programmes.
As a key link with organisations at an operational level, the role plays an important part in the implementation, delivery and evaluation of continuous programme investments. Preparation, monitoring and evaluation of investment funding agreements are integral to this role.
The Adviser Organisations is responsible for providing quality advice based on the knowledge gained from working within the arts sector and delivering services to Creative New Zealand investment clients.
To be successful in this role you should have:
• Arts practice, planning, administration or management experience.
• Understanding of government policies and processes relating to arts access, participation, professional practice and arts development.
• Appreciation of issues influencing arts development in New Zealand.
• A commitment to the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi
• Experience of setting, agreeing and monitoring contract delivery standards
• Experience of business and financial monitoring and evaluation of small and medium scale organisations
• Knowledge of grant funding processes an advantage
This role could be based in Wellington or Auckland.
