Senior Manager Arts Funding
Do you want to be part of a creative and dynamic organisation and have the chance to make a significant impact on the development of the arts in New Zealand? This role is responsible for providing strategic leadership and overall management of Creative New Zealand’s funding programmes.
This role reports to the Chief Executive and operates as part of the Senior Leadership Team. Our preference is for the role to be based in Wellington. We are looking for a candidate with:
• Demonstrable experience in strategic, organisational and staff leadership
• Experience at a senior management level, including working with peers to set strategy and vision, working with governance bodies, resource allocation and monitoring, and organisational culture development
• Significant experience in
- Arts practice, planning, administration or management.
- Understanding government policies and processes relating to arts access, participation, professional practice and arts development.
- Appreciation of issues influencing arts development in New Zealand and internationally.
- Ability to engineer/re-engineer detailed processes and implement business / organisational improvements.
- Confidence with evaluating business cases, financial analysis, risk assessment and monitoring.
• Understanding of the principles and practice of the Treaty of Waitangi, and the implications of this for the work of Creative New Zealand
Travel will be required to engage with stakeholders and customers across New Zealand.
