News All-Rounder

We need a multi-skilled journalist to join the RBG News team.

This is an entry-level position, but you’ll need to be able to tackle a whole range of journalistic, production and technical responsibilities. 

As an all-rounder with strong technical aptitude and a passion for news, you will be a self-starter ready to work as part of a close-knit team, prepared to do just about anything to get the job done.

The job will entail:

• Researching, shooting and editing current affairs stories for our TV series “Nzone Focus”
• Researching, writing, recording and editing video and audio news packages for Radio, TV and online
• Reading news bulletins on Shine TV.

Ideally, you will have:

• A tertiary qualification in broadcast journalism
• Camera operator skills (or be willing to learn)
• Some experience in a broadcast newsroom
• Some experience of non-linear editing
