Sound Archives/Ngā Taonga Kōrero (SANTK) plays a pivotal role in preserving and providing access to an aural history of New Zealand. This small, supportive team is dedicated to working with the most significant collection of radio broadcasts from stations all over the country.
The Accessions Archivist is responsible for the future shape of the collection, through identifying significant recordings that will show the full diversity of material broadcast in New Zealand by all networks and stations, whether commercial, public, iwi, access, student or other forms of broadcast providers. This involves managing incoming recordings and associated documentation, and liaising with broadcasters and donors.
