The country’s leading public broadcaster is looking for a talented journalist keen to be a producer on Radio New Zealand’s top news programmes, Morning Report and Checkpoint.

The role is based in Wellington.

The successful candidate will be committed to the highest standards of journalism, have a broad general knowledge, an interest in politics and international news, and thrive in the fast paced world of radio.

The job requires you to meet demanding deadlines and produce quality material for our top rating programmes.

You will be able to exhibit an ability to understand and research complex issues, develop new angles and identify key newsmakers.

Good interpersonal skills and an ability to operate in what are at times stressful situations are required, as is the ability to work shifts.
