Cinematography Internship
Broadcast New Zealand is offering a 6 month Cinematography internship. It would suit someone who was committed to becoming a cinematographer - and was able to display a mature visual style. This could be seen as an alternative to film school. We train on all aspects of the film industry including editing, sound, camera, directing and production management. The applicant must be physically fit and be able to handle the relocation of industry equipment. This is the start of a career in cinematography so a general knowledge of successful New Zealand films & television programmes will help your application. Please attach 6 (only) of your photographs to the application (jpegs are best) along with a CV and 200 word or more about your favourite NZ film including the name of the cinematographer. Applications without pictures, cv or notes will not be accepted. This program has been operating for 5 years and everyone who has completed the internship is working in the industry. Most sport and doco TV is shot in weekends so being available is mandatory. The internship offers $ 300/week. An extra $50.00 per week accommodation allowance is available plus we will cover some mobile cost. Conditions apply. Completion of the internship is a guarantee of work in the film & television industry. Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work permit. A valid driving license is required.
