APN Online is looking for an Regional Online Editor to help ramp up its news website for the Hawkes Bay Today.

Based in Hastings, you’ll be making your website the destination for the latest news and conversation on the issues affecting your region. You’ll be working closely with the newsroom and helping to set the news agenda by keeping the site up-to-date and breaking and reporting on key news stories, along with commissioning material.

Our number one priority is a passion for multi-media storytelling so experience in digital news publishing is important.

We’re looking for a mid to senior journalist with an in-depth knowledge of news and news reporting who can combine all the duties of the Online Editor; copy-tasting, producing stories and working with reporters, photographers and video producers.

You’ll be joining a team of journalists and editors dedicated to creating the best online news service for your region. The position will involve working some weekends.

APN News & Media is one of the largest and fastest-growing multi media companies in Australasia. The company operates a broad portfolio of businesses including newspapers, radio stations, printing companies, outdoor advertising, and of course digital media.
