Monthly magazine Taste is seeking a features/recipe editor to join its busy and passionate team.
A vital role, you will work closely with the editor, finding inspiration and ideas for each issue of Taste magazine. You will be responsible for commissioning recipe features from our local contributors and sourcing appropriate international features to complement. This is a creative, varied role: you’ll need to have an eye on international markets, looking for new food trends, generating story ideas for the magazine and also writing features when required. In addition to the published magazine, Taste is active in the digital world and you’ll be the voice of Taste in all social media. As part of a small team, you’ll need to be organised, helping to manage copy flow and be able to liaise effectively with contributors and the advertising and marketing teams.
We are seeking an intermediate, creative journalist/recipe writer with a passion for cooking. You must be able to work as part of a small team under strict deadlines. You will be self-motivated, with plenty of initiative and a commitment to editorial excellence. Experience using InDesign is an advantage.
