  • Minimum three year technical experience

This position is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technician to work in a flexible environment with a variety of arts practitioners in theatre, dance and film. 

We are looking for a technician who can competently co-ordinate and time manage within the flexible requirements of hirers and in-house partners.    The approved Technician  will be responsible to the Venue Manager with the primary objectives as follows:

  • To ensure efficient operation of all the technical aspects of the TAPAC centre.
  • To ensure safety procedures of TAPAC are followed.
  • To ensure that equipment is working and maintained to safety standards.
  • To ensure that the Rules and Requirements of TAPAC are adhered to.

The key tasks involve an intimate working knowledge of the TAPAC theatre – light, sound air conditioning, seating and drapes and the ability to operate all systems.  The position includes a sound knowledge and understanding to carry out all safety and security policies and procedures including fire safety and evacuation relevant to the premises.

The successful applicant will be an effective communicator and provide exceptional service to all users of TAPAC including outside hirers and the TAPAC partners.
