Graphic Design Intern

Struggling to get your foot in the door? We’ve got a nine week internship available, starting ASAP. We understand the challenge of finding work and are offering you the opportunity to generate some great examples of commercial design. This will expand your CV and bring about great opportunities!Gopher is an online business directory and New Zealand’s 2nd fastest growing technology company (Deloitte Technology Fast 500). We’re expanding at a rapid rate and are now looking to take on three fresh thinking design interns that are eager to learn.

You’ll have the opportunity to work on some new projects that we are expanding into, such as:

• Mobile application designs  Androids and Blackberry (application design)
• Apple iPad (application design)
• Gopher Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand and other countries we will soon be launching into (website imagery and possibly a revamp design of current websites)
• Gopher Advertising (collaborate with Gopher’s Lead Designer and Advertising Coordinatoron potential campaigns)
• Gopher Social Media collateral (Facebook landing pages, Twitter and YouTube backgrounds)
• Gopher internal sales collateral (publications, manuals and brochures)

You may get to work on client branding, competition landing pages, posters and stickers, depending on schedules and urgency.

This is a great opportunity for you to develop new insight into interactive design and be involved in producing products that will be used globally. We don’t promise anything but most of our interns walk away with some great experience and with a portfolio of great commercial work.  We’re also expanding, and there’s potential that this could lead to full time work.

Key Attributes:

Strong and keen eye for design.  We work across digital and print, so versatility is key.

Idea generator – a fast thinking individual that can come up with original ideas.

Driven and Enthusiastic.

High-level knowledge and familiarity of the Adobe Suite, and high proficiency on Apple computers.

Ability to manage time effectively.

Punctual and well presented.
