Applications are sought for the position of Associate Professor/Professor in Visual Communication Design in the Institute of Communication Design, part of Massey University's College of Creative Arts on the Wellington Campus. This position is a senior position, considered to be the equivalent of a fully tenured Professor position in northern America.
Key responsibilities include the facilitation of academic and professional networks, leadership of research groups and leadership of research and enterprise management.
The Institute of Communication Design was the top ranked visual communication design department in the most recent research ranking exercise in New Zealand, and is the largest provider of visual communication design education at a tertiary level in New Zealand.
The Institute of Communication Design is a vibrant, active hub of design research and practice. We have an energetic team of practicing designers fully engaged in original, creative, top quality research and it is our aim to further enhance this activity with a high quality appointment.
A minimum of a Masters degree in a studio-based design discipline appropriate to teaching and research in visual communication design.
