Urgent Submissions for Artwork Commission
Givealittle is seeking expressions of interest & proposals to complete a commission artwork that captures the generosity and donor response post the Samoa Tsunami. Since the tsunami, donors have been giving online at www.givealittle.co.nz/tsunami.
We are looking for an artist who can reflect the activity at Givealittle in support of the tsunami, including:
1. Individual donations in a way that alludes to a timeline since Wednesday
2. Donation timing, donor comments, donation values
Other than capturing this - we are a blank canvas open to your creative ideas. Donations will need to be incorporated in to the artwork as they are received over the next two weeks.
Artwork will be completed in public, and on its completion will be gifted to Samoa.
Timeline: Start asap, complete work within 2 weeks. Must be available to start immediately.
If you are located outside of Wellington, Givealittle will arrange flights and accommodation for the duration of the project.
Artwork proposals must be practical in size - as at some point it will need to be transported to Samoa.
Expressions of interest / proposals to be submitted to Martina Saville (Givealittle) via email martina@givealittle.co.nz by 5pm 6 October 2009. Please include a sample of your work/style (photo).
