Mac Operator - Part-time
Interested in applying your skills to the non-commercial sector in a rewarding in-house position?
You will need to know the Adobe Creative Suite inside and out, be able to work in a close-knit team environment, multi-tasking several projects simultaneously.
The following skills are required for this position:
• Proficiency on a Mac platform and advanced skills in Adobe Illustrator, Indesign and Photoshop.
• The ability to work quickly, efficiently and accurately.
• Possess lateral thinking and strong problem solving skills.
• Have excellent layout and typographic skills.
• Attention to detail is crucial, as well as the ability to work under pressure and at times with minimum supervision.
• Effective file management and pre-press knowledge would also be advantageous.
Tasks may include:
• Producing science and mathematics diagrams using Adobe Illustrator.
• Layout of publications within clearly defined design and style guidelines to produce finished artwork for print production.
The ideal candidate will have pizzazz, a dynamic personality and a great sense of humour!
The position is part-time, ideally 30 hours per week to be carried out within our core business hours of 8.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday. These hours are negotiable.
Short listed candidates will be required to undergo a practical test to assess suitability.
