NHNZ is a world leader in factual television. We make up to 60 hours of innovative programming every year for global broadcasters like National Geographic, Animal Planet and Discovery. Our programes explore the world of nature, science, history, adventure and people. We have an immediate vacancy for a Freelance Animator.

The role requires the Animator to be available for two documentary shows from January to February and April to May, for a major international customer. The show’s will contain 3D Animation and FX, and they will require a significant component of CG content.

The person that we’re looking for will possess a good level of expertise in this area, as well as the usual prerequisites of attention to detail, efficiency, the ability to work under pressure and a strong customer focus.

You must have:

• Excellent 3D modeling skills
• A penchant for architectural type rendering (both ancient and modern)
• Experience with 3DSmax or Maya 3D software
• Experience in composting with Adobe After Effects.

As you would be part of a small team, you need to be prepared to jump in and help as required. This is a fast turnaround show, so time management and organisational skills are essential.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone to gain experience with an internationally renowned company.
