Associate Professor - Design & Design Technology

The School of Architecture and Planning at The University of Auckland is looking to appoint an Associate Professor who is capable of leading design technology teaching and architectural design, and who has practical experience in the field of architectural structure and/or fabrication. The School of Architecture and Planning is a leading educator of architects, urban designers and planners, and is highly regarded for its strong design and academic focus.

You will have an excellent practice/teaching record in the field of architectural technology and architectural design. You will be expected to provide innovative and high quality studio teaching in contemporary design and technology practice at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. You will have comprehensive knowledge of an architectural technology field and an established research record and exhibitions/publications in that area.

You should hold professionally recognised qualifications in architecture and/or engineering, and have a postgraduate qualification and/or extensive practical experience. You must demonstrate your creative/practice ability in architectural technology. Preference will be given to applicants who have experience in leadership roles in the tertiary sector.
