Mac Op/Graphic Designer

We’re a small team based in Mt Eden, Auckland and this role includes:

- Working with Adobe Creative suite and clients brand identity artwork.

- Help to develop brand standards for client brands.

- Photographing client products for use in print and web( e.g. grocery products).

- Preparing artwork and image files for publishing.

- Working on front-end web design for client projects.

- Developing online and social marketing designs.

- Supporting our online graphic design community.

You’ll need to be professional, reliable, gritty, honest, adaptable, smart, likable and positive.  You'll be happy rolling up your sleevs and getting stuck in and be keen to learn new tricks.

You'll be a graduate from a suitable design school and ideally have some experience working at the coal face as a mac op or designer.  You'll know Adobe Creative Suite and a Mac like the back of your hand. You'll be comfortable with a digital camera and be able to produce commercial quality images with clipping paths.  You'll have played around with HTML and CSS and produced your own website and maybe for a client or two but you want to take your web skills a lot further (we can help).

Bonus points if you can show us a commercial project or two.

We’re selling web based solutions, so you should be up with the latest web trends and social marketing.

You should be interested in brands and branding and demonstrate an understanding of branding principals.  You’ll really impress us if you’ve read “The 22 Immutable Laws of Branding. But don’t worry too much if you haven’t - we can always lend you our copy of “Branding for Dummies”.

You’ll ideally be a Mac person with experience with Windows. While we love our Macs, we recognize that most of our clients are stuck in a Windows world - so you need to be able to talk Mac & PC. 

You won’t be a slacker, and you’ll happily stay late to meet deadlines or deal with client meltdowns.
