Unitec Institute of Technology is a leading provider of vocational and professional education, where excellence in teaching and learning is supported by applied research and advanced practice. 

Two part-time (hourly paid) Lecturer positions are available in Graphic Design and Animation at Unitec, in the Department of Design and Visual Arts.

These part-time roles are in the First Year of the Bachelor of Design and Visual Arts, in the Graphic Design and Animation Major. The successful candidates will join a small team in delivering 'Studio' courses to incoming first year students in the field of Graphic Design and Animation. Project work will involve print and moving image briefs and the delivery structure is collaborative and team based.

Applicants must have: 

• A bachelors degree in relevant field of practice
• Proven experience in teaching at a tertiary level
• Design studio teaching experience at degree level
• Broad understanding of Design and Visual Arts education within New Zealand context

Studio is taught all day Monday and all day Thursday over two 16 week semesters.
