The Department of Design and Visual Arts boasts one of the country’s most innovative Bachelor of Design and Visual Arts programmes with a specialisation in Contemporary Craft. We are looking for people capable of delivering excellence in education and enhancing the Contemporary Craft programme and its pathways. While teaching mostly at the undergraduate level you may also be required to lecture on our certificate or masters programmes. It is also expected that the successful applicant will have the capacity to contribute to the leadership of the programme as well as the research goals of the department. Applicants must have:
- At least an undergraduate degree in an appropriate discipline (a postgraduate
degree would be desirable) - Proven experience in teaching at tertiary level
- A proven track record in research and advanced practice and commitment to furthering research development
Appointment at Senior Lecturer level will be considered for appropriately qualified applicants, the criteria for which are outlined in the appendix to the position description.
