We are looking for fantastic people to join our faculty fulltime.

Are you a graduate with (or interested pursuing) in a Masters degree (or PhD) in computer graphics, animation, 3D, Media etc? We are looking for people with a passion for digital creation to join our growing faculty. Our Animation School is staffed by talented 3D artists with relevant industry experience.

In this case, we are looking for people with passion, skill and an understanding in the CGI area and interested in researching this. You would be able to deliver one or a series of subjects to our students that come from all over the world, though mostly Kiwis. You be able to share knowledge or teach skills. We’re looking for both.

Have you researched a cutting-edge technology? Have your qualitatively researched and commented on the use of new technologies in media, film, television? Have you quantitatively measured the impact of new technologies? Have you spent time investigating how the industry pipeline works, developed or could be improved? These areas are important for senior lecturers to have or be pursuing.

Lifeway College is also looking for talented 3D artists with relevant industry experience. We would prefer applicants with extensive experience in a generalist role, or in a multitude of specializations. Advanced skills and knowledge in at least one area such as character animation, modelling, lighting, texturing, rigging etc is necessary. You’ll be proficient with one or more of these software packages: Autodesk Maya, The Foundry’s Nuke, Pixologic ZBrush, Autodesk Mudbox, Adobe Creative Suite.  It is important to have a good knowledge of the 3D Animation pipeline, as our students graduate industry-ready having learned the entire 3D production pipeline first-hand, from concept to final project. Lead artists would be preferred. We have a strong record of over 80% graduate placement into the industry, therefore we will encourage your ongoing involvement in associations, networks and industry events.

As a lecturer you will need good communication skills, confidence, leadership skills and be able to relate well to others. We have a family-friendly environment, with a Government-approved early childhood centre on site.
