Job description: 

We are looking for a creative sewer to work as part of the 2010 Dunedin Midwinter Carnival art team. This is a small team of creative people making costumes and props for groups of performers. The Costume Maker will work with the Carnival’s Artistic Director to develop and make costumes consistent with the theme of the Carnival. The Dunedin Midwinter Carnival takes place on 26 June this year!

Skills sought include:

  • Competent and creative sewer
  • Construction and hands-on making skills
  • Ability to adapt designs and problem solve
  • Ability to work with a variety of materials such as wire, cane, paper mache, foam, etc
  • Sense of fun and imagination

We are looking for someone to work 5-20 hours per week.
