Graphic Artist (freelance)

Our Christchurch based studio has undergone some rapid growth and is looking for an excellent freelance graphic artist to help with the creation of illustrations, diagrams and other visual content during peak times.

We are a small studio but we make up for it with big results. The majority of work involves producing media to support learning material; being involved in parts of a wider project and having a significant role in creative direction.

Whether you are still studying, just starting out or an experienced designer you'll be able to provide a strong portfolio of your exceptional work.

You will have a strong understanding of how to explain concepts visually, using graphics in different types of media, demonstrate creative flair and possess a productive mentality. Being part of a team and collaborating with other designers will come naturally.

Flexible conditions:
* work at hours to fit in with other commitments
* option to work from home
* we can provide office space and all the hardware you need to produce your works of art (perfect if you're starting out)
* you may be required for paid travel around New Zealand main centres

Tools of the trade:
* Experience in using Adobe CS4 is essential (specifically Design Premium)
* Ability to comfortably work on the Windows 7 platform would be useful, but not necessary if you choose to use your own equipment.

Additional skills in post-production, 3d, flash, web or print design would be an advantage to securing more freelance work.

Pay will be negotiable on experience and ability.
