Graphic Designer
Part Time Position (28hrs per week) Auckland War Memorial Museum is seeking to appoint an experienced Graphic Designer. The successful candidate will have a passion for 2 D design and hold a broad and demonstrable interest in Graphic design generally and marketing in particular.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Auckland War Memorial Museum Auckland War which holds a large and unique collection of both natural and human history objects. The Exhibitions and Events Team within the Museum is responsible for the Temporary Exhibition Schedule, Events and Marketing. This position is largely focused on support for the marketing section within the department. This is a permanent part time opportunity of 28 hours per week (0.7FTE).
The successful candidate will have a passion for 2 D design and hold a broad and demonstrable interest in Graphic design generally and marketing in particular. The ideal candidate will possess an appropriate tertiary qualification coupled with a minimum of five years relevant experience and a demonstrated ability to use sound judgement and planning. They will also possess:
• Excellent team management and leadership skills
• A proven track record in stakeholder relationship management
The successful applicant will have the ability to work effectively as part of a team, good verbal and written communication, and a practical approach.
