Help! Our senior GD is expecting her first child and will be on leave from August to sometime next year. Complicating matters further, the bosses are heading to a family wedding in Oz for a week at the start of September, leaving our junior designer on her own. Can you fill the gap from August through to Christmas (at least)?

This opportunity could be perfect if you already live in Dunedin and are looking to fill a hole in your day. Or if you have a transient disposition and would like to check out the lifestyle in New Zealand’s first city. Dunedin is a beautiful, compact, provocative and eclectic city. You’ll be here during a crossover of three seasons, and the tail-end of the ski season, with four world class skifields less than four hours’ drive away.

Advertising & Art is a successful four person unit with a client list of the south’s leading businesses. It’s a team which values a balanced lifestyle, working normal business hours. Our place of work is a heritage post office in the hill suburb of Mornington. We are driven by a focus to deliver the best outcomes for our clients, and the work varies wildy, including half-a-dozen annual reports which you will walk straight into.

So what do we expect from you? Intermediate/senior level graphic design experience. Ability to create images and text to the highest standard using Adobe CS3 tools on Mac. Good communication and organisational skills. Capable of running the show with our junior GD for awhile. And most importantly, a genuine charm to nurture client and supplier relationships.
