The University of Canterbury has a vacancy for a full-time, continuing Lecturer in Graphic Design. This role encompasses teaching at undergraduate (including first year) and postgraduate levels and requires an active research practice, producing creative work for publications and exhibitions aimed at establishing a national and international profile.
To apply you will have demonstrated excellence in teaching a studio-based graphic design practice, and have a strong grasp and knowledge of production techniques affiliated with graphic design conventions. A high level of understanding and engagement with the graphic design industry is also required. You will have a desire to focus on the needs of students, encouraging them to experiment and challenge ideas and methods.
Applicants require an MFA or equivalent, and their application is to be supported by a portfolio of at least 20 images of recent work, to be submitted via personal web page or CD (if posting CD, please take into consideration closing deadline and postal delays).
