Applications are invited for a position in the School of Architecture and Planning at The University of Auckland. We are looking for a lecturer or senior lecturer in Sustainable Design who has an active research record in contemporary sustainable design issues. The School of Architecture and Planning is a leading educator of architects, urban designers and planners and is highly regarded for its strong design and academic focus.
The successful applicant will have an excellent practice/teaching record in the field of sustainable design and architectural design. They will be expected to provide innovative and quality studio teaching in contemporary sustainable design practice and theory at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. They will have a broad view of environmental technologies and will have an established research record and publications in a selected area.
Applicants should hold professionally recognised qualifications in architecture and sustainable design or environmental technologies and have a Doctoral qualification. Applicants must demonstrate their creative/practice ability. Preference will be given to applicants who are experienced in teaching sustainable design and architectural design studios, and have a record of publication. An appreciation of a wide range of sustainable practices is an advantage.
