The Creative Hub is an exciting new initiative from TVNZ that brings together creative talent from Promotions, Branding, Commercials and Sponsorship, Production and Graphic Design. The Creative Hub will call on the unrivalled facilities of TVNZ to deliver solutions for channels, sponsors, advertisers and programme makers.
TVNZ's News & Current Affairs Design team is looking for a talented, self motivated Graphic Designer with a creative eye for information Graphics. The work is varied and includes the core production of daily Graphics for News & Current affairs programmes such as Breakfast, Te Karere, Close Up, and its flagship One News. Non-standard creative opportunities present themselves intermittently throughout the year with requirements for special events, franchises, Breaking News and annual celebrations/commemorations.
We are seeking an individual who is skilled in translating a brief into creative and informative graphics that observe style and brand integrity. You must be skilled in Computer Graphics or a related area, have a keen eye for detail and will ideally have three years experience in the field of News Graphics and information design. You must also be fluent in the use of core Design Packages such as Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects. 3D applications would also prove advantageous.
Ideally you will be confident with interpersonal communication, prioritise effectively, and be able to manage workflow within tight deadlines. You will be required to co-ordinate and delegate tasks within the team and ensure the smooth delivery of daily graphics. You will work closely with the Team Leader to ensure brand integrity and identify areas that may benefit through streamlining. Your high design and communication competency will enable you to articulate creative ideas and concepts to internal and external clients effectively.
The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and self-motivated team player. You will be expected to focus on News Graphics within a rostered shift capacity, and may be required to fill in producing other general Graphic Design as required.
