Looking for puppet maker
A bunch of students from Auckland University are making a feature length musical film over the coming months.
One of the main characters however is a hand puppet which needs to be made. A few of us might have the skills to do this, but we would rather it be done very well.
It is a small cute puppet that needs to be made. It needs to be a soft hand puppet akin to those seen on the muppets or seasame street.
There are a few things in terms of movement and aesthetics I’d like it to have
- Both arms able to move quite freely AND able to reach his mouth (as it puts things in its mouth from time to time)
- A deep mouth (for the above reason)
- The mouth to have the possibility of being VERY animated. It should have the ability to contort his face into a large amount of emotions with ease.
- It can have soft legs as it is usually being carried or poking out from behind something.
- The head to have the ability to pan side to side, and tilt up and down beyond the capabilities of a human. So maybe it has the ability to nearly touch its nose to its chest, and can turn its head the full 180 degrees from shoulder to shoulder.
- And if possible, moving eyes would make it FAR more lifelike.
